History
The SABUS Group was formed in 1984 as the successor to Software Services, a company wholly owned by William Barnes, one of the founders of The SABUS Group.
Previously, Software Services was organized in 1977 to provide contract computer programming services to the Alaska business community. The company originally specialized in public utility work providing technical expertise in the IBM/370, HP/3000, and Microdata/PICK environments.
SABUS currently provides the Alaskan and Northwest business communities with contract computer programming services, AIX/HACMP implementaion, network design and security services, installation and planning for Tivoli Storage Manager, and help with disaster planning and recovery.
